ISR President’s column
It is a great honor for me to hold the position of president of the ISR for the next two years.
First of all, I want to thank Prof. Ricardo García Mónaco and the members of the ISR Executive Committee for the work they have done during the last period.
The intention of the incoming Executive Committee is to continue developing a policy of communication and collaboration with our members to improve the visibility of our Society and to increase the value of our activities.
The ISR’s priority areas of action will include the representation of the global radiological community in the WHO and the IAEA with a special focus on quality and safety activities and educational programs to support the development of imaging and related workforce in low- and middle-income countries.
The organization of the International Congress of Radiology (ICR) 2020 will be another key aspect of our activities in this period. Our intention is to organize a global event, but with a strong regional involvement, stimulating the participation of radiologists in the region. We count on your active collaboration for the success of the congress.
Thank you very much and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you personally in the near future.
